For a long time, Roy Dean’s blue belt requirements has been considered the go-to jiu-jitsu instructional for BJJ white belts. This is for good reason seeing as how it is focused on helping people move from white to blue belt. Of course, this instructional cannot promote you to a blue belt. Only your professor can do that. 

That being said, it can of course help you know what many professors are going to be looking for in their students before promoting them to blue belt. So if your goal is to get your blue belt as fast a possible this is instructional for you. Of course, there is no guarantee that your professor will promote you any faster but it does show you what to focus on.

This Fundamentals Of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Escapes instructional is a great guide to help you become a master escape artist! This instructional covers the fundamental jiu-jitsu escapes for both gi and no-gi players and enthusiasts.
